Our Principal

Michael Williams was born and raised in Cleveland & Garfield Heights, Ohio. Michael graduated from Jane Addams Business Career Center in 1990, a school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. He received his post-graduate studies from Cuyahoga Community College-Western Campus, Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, the University of Phoenix, DeVry University, and Ashford University Online. He is now on the road to his Doctorate Degree from Grand Canyon University, where he’s currently holding a 4.0 GPA.

In 2020, Michael wrote his 1st children’s book, The Brown Crayon. Michael wrote this book during the Covid-19 quarantine. Amid the George Floyd and Breonna Taylor protests, hate and racism, gaining momentum, in our children, of every color, witnessing it all, Michael felt led by God to grab his laptop and begin to write. The Brown Crayon helps to show children how to love themselves, the skin they were created in, and the beauty they actually possess. In October of 2024, Michael released his 2nd children’s book, Blue on the Brain. This book was written to help small children process grief and loss.

Currently, Michael is the Principal of Akron Career Tech High School in Akron, Ohio. In Michael’s leisure time, he is a rollercoaster fanatic who enjoys amusement parks, singing, traveling, fine dining, video games, reading, fishing, and spending time with his sons and dog, Max.
